Avignon is one of the few remaining middle age cities, seat of the popes, and considered to be one of the cultural capitals of Europe. It is situated at the center of Provence and stretched along the banks of the River Rhone. The Danieli Hotel is conveniently placed at the heart of the "old city", and only a short walking distance from the Place de l'Horloge, Palace of the Popes, the famous Pont d'Avignon, and the St. Benezet Bridge. The Hotel is also close to the entertainment centers of the city, shopping, restaurants, and sidewalk cafes are only a few minutes away. Despite its central location, Le Danieli is a very calm spot, all the rooms are soundproofed and the hotel is characterized by its relaxed, intimate atmosphere.

In the heart of Provence, by the Rhone River, Avignon has occupied since the Middle Age an important position and is considered one of the central cities, where the Popes established their palace in the 14th century. Its localization makes it a perfect spot for traveling around and discovering all of Provence.
