The Hermitage Barri�re is a grand white Anglo Norman manor with a half timbered fa�ade. The hotel sits facing the sea and is set in attractive gardens, one kilometer from the center of La Baule town. The 207 air conditioned guestrooms, some with small balconies and sea views, are decorated in attractive Regency style striped fabrics. All are equipped with high speed Internet connections, cable television with pay movies, minibars and safes. Tiled bathrooms are complete with make up mirrors, hair dryers, and bathrobes.
Guests can enjoy a cocktail at the poolside bar, or visit the health club and relax with a sauna or workout at the fitness center. After working up an appetite in the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, guests can choose between the two onsite restaurants. The beachside L'Eden is decorated with attractive wooden furnishings and wicker chairs, and offers alfresco dining on its outside terrace with panoramic views of the beach. The restaurant specializes in seafood. Alternatively, guests can enjoy typical French cuisine in the formal setting of La Terrasse, with its Regency striped chairs and ornate chandeliers overlooking the beautiful gardens. After dinner, guests can retire to the Les Evens Bar and relax in the burgundy velvet chairs with drinks and cigars, accompanied by live piano music. Families can enjoy the babysitting services, the under 4's kid's club, as well as a discount card for each child, entitling them to various gifts and benefits. 20 meters away, guests can bronze on the ivory sand beach, go windsurfing and jet skiing, or try their luck at the casino. The medieval town of Guerande and fishing port of Le Croisic are both five kilometers. The nearest airport is Nantes, 80 kilometers from the hotel.
