Situated on Marseille's famous Canebi�re, the Marsellie Mascotte Vieux Port is a modern, four storey hotel set opposite the old port, where ships have docked for 2,600 years. Metro 1 links eastern suburbs to north eastern suburbs via the old port. Metro 2 takes a North South route. The lines intersect at SNCF St Charles, the main railway station, and Castellane. Efficient bus and tram services also operate in the city.
