Location. Minoa Palace is a Mediterranean low rise hotel complex of guestrooms and bungalows situated in the Platanias tourist area on the Greek island of Crete, 100 metres from the beach and 12 kilometres from the town of Chania. Chania International Airport is 25 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
Hotel Features. The highlight of the Minoa Palace is an extensive outdoor pool landscape, surrounded by lush gardens and palm shaded sun loungers as well as two open air spa tubs and a separate children's swimming pool. The wellness and spa centre includes indoor swimming pools and a fitness centre along with a spa tub, sauna, hammam and massage treatments. Frequent theme nights and Cretan folklore evenings take place in the bars and restaurants, along with activities in the day and organised entertainment. Other faciltities include a mini market onsite, jewellers and hair salon.
Dining options at the Minoa Palace include international cuisine in the informal restaurant, or la carte national dishes at the poolside taverna.
The hotel has a floodlit tennis court, and watersports are available at the long, sandy beach, 100 metres away.
Guestrooms. Minoa Palace offers 161 bungalows and guestrooms spread over three floors, all of which have modern style decor in cream and brown tones, wooden flooring and red wood furnishings. Balconies or patios offer sea or mountain views, and amenities also include air conditioning, satellite TV, Internet ports (surcharge), direct dial telephones, and minibars.
Expert Tip. Chania's old town, 12 kilometres from the hotel, is next to the old harbour and still retains part of its Venetian fortifications which date back to the 15th century.

Getting there. Taxis are available from the airport. A typical taxi fare to the hotel is approximately 30 EUR.
Driving directions. From the airport, follow signs for Chania and then for Kastelli/Kissamos. Follow the coast road through Agia Marina to Platanias and follow the signs for the hotel, which is on the left.
