Location. The Elounda Ilion is a family friendly resort built on hillside terraces offering panoramic views of Mirabello Bay located two kilometres from the Elounda village and six kilometres from Agios Nikolaos. Nikos Kazantzakis Airport (HER) is 63 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 50 minutes.
Hotel Features. The outdoor swimming pool is bordered by an area furnished with sun loungers and umbrellas and is served by a snack bar. There is a separate children's splash pool and also a children's playground. The terraces of the hotel are surrounded by landscaped gardens with fruit trees and the hotel bar features a shady terrace offering views over the gulf of Mirabello. During the summer barbeque nights take place by the pool.
The Elounda Ilion has a rustic style restaurant with natural stone wall features and a relaxed atmosphere. International and Greek specialties are served buffet style for breakfast and dinner and an � la carte lunch is offered.
The hotel has tennis courts (surcharge applies), miniature golf and a games room equipped with billiards and table tennis. Water sports are available along Mirabello Bay, two kilometres from the hotel.
Guestrooms. Elounda Ilion offers 88 air conditioned guestrooms located on two floors, all of which have sea views and offer simple modern decor with tiled floors and wooden furnishings and include satellite television, direct dial phones, hairdryers, safes and minibars.
Expert Tip. The island of Crete has many places to visit including the island of Spinalonga with its medieval castle. The emerald green waters and white sandy beaches of the island are perfect for water sports and diving.

Getting there. A taxi from the airport should cost approximately 66 EUR. Local bus services serve the area. A hire car would be useful for trips around the island.
Driving directions. From the airport take the national road to Agios Nikolaos and follow all signs for Agios Nikolaos until reaching a traffic light junction just before the town. Turn left at the traffic lights following signs for Elounda. Hotel Elounda Ilion is signposted and situated on the right hand side of the road.
