The Meliton hotel is housed in a large Doric building set by the Aegean Sea, among the private beaches, golf courses, olive groves and vineyards of the Porto Carras Grand Resort. The 480 air conditioned guestrooms have modern decor with ebony wood furniture and cream upholstery. Some rooms have balconies with sea views or an inland view of the golf course. The hotel is located on the Sithonia peninsula, 2 kilometres from the fishing village of Neos Marmaras. Those interested in history can visit the ruins of the 5th century Paleo Christian Basilica at Nikti, 28 kilometres away, or travel to the birthplace of Aristotle, 72 kilometres from the hotel. Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) is 120 kilometres (73 miles) away with an approximate driving time of 75 minutes.

Taxis are readily available from the airport arrivals terminal and cost approximately 70 EUR. Private taxis can also be arranged with the hotel to explore the surrounding area; but otherwise, car hire is highly recommended.
Driving directions: From the airport, follow the signs for Halkidiki / Nea Moudania. After approximately 60 kilometres (36 miles), turn off into Sithonia and head for Neos Marmaras. Porto Carras is found a few kilometres after Marmaras.
