The Residence Il Casale is a self catering aparthotel housed in a 16th century building and set in landscaped grounds, three kilometres from Cortona town centre. The ten apartments open onto furnished terraces and have antique furnishings, light decor, terracotta floor tiles and timbered ceilings. All feature kitchens with ovens, refrigerators and sitting areas and are equipped with satellite television, direct dial phones, coffee/tea makers and climate control. Bathrooms include showers and bidets.
During the summer months, guests can unwind on sunbeds by the open air swimming pool, which is also equipped with parasols and showers. Massage treatments are available on site. Bicycles can be rented at the hotel and guests can use them to tour the landscaped grounds, which include a picnic area. Staff at the hotel can offer advice and assistance on exploring the surrounding Tuscan countryside, and cooking classes and a wine tasting tour can be arranged on request. Express check in and check out are available as is a laundry service. The hotel can arrange transport to and from the airport (surcharge), and guests arriving by car will find complimentary parking available on site. The 13th century Palazzo Communale is three kilometres from the hotel, as is the Etruscan Academy Museum. The nearest station, Camucia, is three kilometres from the hotel and Florence Vespucci Airport is 100 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 90 minutes.

Guests can hire a car at the airport and drive to the hotel. Alternatively, take a taxi to Santa Maria Novella Station Florence (the fare should be 13 16 EUR) or take the half hourly bus to the same destination. From the station, catch a train to Camucia Station, which is three kilometres from the hotel. Take a taxi for the last leg of the journey. The hotel can also arrange transfers for a fee.
