Location. Relais Borgo San Pietro is located four kilometres outside Cortona, Italy, 25 kilometres from spa town Rapolano Terme, and 40 kilometres from Sienna. Cortona train station is four kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Relais Borgo San Pietro is a converted 17th century farm with views over the Tuscan hills and the rooftops and towers of Cortona. It has been sensitively restored to retain its stone fa�ade, beamed ceilings and stone fireplaces. Narrow paths wind down to the swimming pool, which is set in landscaped gardens, and the ancient well. Amenities include limited hours room service, complimentary secure parking and a safe at the 24 hour front desk.
Guests can enjoy drinks in the hotel bar, and a complimentary buffet breakfast is served in the airy breakfast room.
Explore the stunning surroundings by hiring one of the hotel's mountain bikes or going horse riding. Alternatively, there are opportunities for table tennis and seven a side football games at the pitch in Cortona.

Expert Tip. Lago Trasimeno, the fourth largest lake in Italy, is very shallow only six metres at its deepest. There are three islands in the lake, though Isloa Maggiore is the only one which is inhabited. The lake is rigorously protected and is a beautiful place to go for a swim or take out a boat.

From Florence Vespucci Airport (FLR):
Distance to Relais Borgo San Pietro is 80 kilometres, approximately 70 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis into the city centre cost approximately 15 EUR 16 EUR, and the journey time is 15 minutes. An airport bus departs for Florence's Santa Maria Novella Station every 30 minutes. Single tickets cost 6 EUR. Terravision coaches travel to central Florence. Tickets cost 12 EUR, and the price includes a one day pass for Florence's city buses. Trains runs from Florence to Cortona train station, which is two kilometres from the hotel. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. A car is useful for exploring the area around the hotel and beyond.
