The Unaway Hotel Firenze Nord A1 is a tall modern building, located three kilometres from the main airport and nine kilometres from the cathedral and the Uffizi Gallery in Florence's city centre. The hotel's 151 guestrooms, over eight floors, have simple decor with patterned carpets, matching bed fabrics and wood furnishings. All include dressing tables, coffee tables, armchairs, air conditioning, satellite television and minibars.
The hotel's restaurant is open at all meal times and offers a variety of regional Tuscan cuisine, plus international selections. The Una Caf� Bar serves a variety of drinks and cocktails and has a seating area with modern sofas and tables; live music is performed there regularly. Wireless Internet access is available in all public areas of the hotel, and the 24 hour front desk has multilingual staff that can assist with transport and entertainment bookings, as well as the storage of valuables in the safe deposit box. A shuttle bus can also be arranged to take guests to Florence, at an extra charge. The hotel is seven kilometres from Florence city centre and the main train station, while nine kilometres away guests can find many of Florence's most famous locations including, the Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. Florence Vespucci Airport is three kilometres (two miles) from the hotel, an approximate driving time of five minutes.

The airport is a short taxi ride from the hotel (costing 20 25 EUR). It is also possible to take the half hourly bus, which transports passengers to Santa Maria Novella Station, in the centre of Florence. Buses service the city centre; tickets can be bought at tobacconists or vending machines. Tickets are sold on a time basis one hour, two hour or 24 hour tickets. Traffic is restricted in the city centre and parking is expensive, so the centre of Florence is best explored on foot. Taxis wait outside Stazione di Santa Maria Novella.
Driving directions from the airport: From the airport take the A1 for Milano Bologna. The hotel is located just before the toll gate.
