The Hotel Columbia is a typically Tuscan terracotta painted building, situated Montecatini Terme, 300 meters from the popular spa area. The railway station is next to the terminal and can be accessed via a covered walkway. Trains run to Montecatini Centro Station via Lucca. CO.TA.PI (Pisa taxi cooperative) and Radio Taxi run a 24 hour taxi service from the airport. CO.TA.PI also offers a collective taxi, which runs to the Pisa Centrale railway station and Ospedale Santa Chiara (for the leaning tower of Pisa), for a flat rate fare. Buses run in the town and the surrounding area, although the best way to explore the Tuscan countryside is by car. From the airport, take the A12 motorway heading towards Florence. Exit at Montecatini Terme, then follow signs to the historic center to find the hotel.
