Location. The Mision del Sol Resort and Spa is an exclusive spa property located in Jiutepec Morelos, near Cuernavaca, Mexico. Nearby attractions include the Robert Brady Museum, the Archaeological Zone of Xochicalco and the Borda Gardens. Three golf courses are located nearby.
Hotel Features. Tropical gardens and a peaceful lagoon provide the resort's secluded environment known both for its architectural and natural beauty. The on site restaurant and bar specializes in organic ingredients, serving uniquely prepared white meat, vegetable and seafood dishes only. The hotel chef is assisted by a team of nutritionists who create cuisine tailored to meet the needs of health conscious clientele. Four function rooms, terraces and gardens accommodate events. Recreational amenities include two outdoor acclimatized pools, a spa tub, a sauna, a jogging track and tennis, table tennis, volleyball and basketball courts. Spa professionals offer more than 50 massage, wrap and scrub techniques. The resort also houses a Monumental Temazcal Sweat Bath. A fitness center contains a gymnasium and offers aerobics, tai chi and yoga classes. In addition to on site recreational activities, the resort concierge schedules horseback riding, parachuting and rafting adventures.
Guestrooms. Guest villas are designed with removable bed installed magnet systems that encourage energy flow. Accommodations are constructed from local sun dried brick, quarry stone and wood, and feature minimalist d�cor. All materials are natural, ecologically aligned and biodegradable. Feng Shui principles are evident in the living rooms, dining rooms, meditation areas and terraces. Villas boast two full bathrooms. Select accommodations feature balconies. Rooms do not contain telephones or televisions.
Expert Tip. World recognized personalities such as Deepak Chopra, Geshe Lobsang and Rizong Rinpoche conduct seminars and workshops at this leading edge health resort. The property also presents musical performances and hosts painting, sculpture and photography exhibits. Holistic health practitioners offer workshops, often at no charge, during designated times throughout the year.
