The Stellenbosch Hotel occupies a restored 18th century building and national monument on the town's oldest street, just one block from the art gallery and two blocks from the museum. The 30 guestrooms feature simple white d�cor with rich colored fabrics and wood furnishings. All come equipped with cable television, telephones, dial up Internet connections, tea/coffee making facilities, safes, minibars and complimentary toiletries.
Named after the original owner of the building, the relaxed Jan Cats brasserie restaurant has a traditional, pub style wood paneled interior and offers game specialties such as springbok, kudu, crocodile and zebra and live seafood including crayfish and oysters. Guests can enjoy drinks here, or relax in front of the open fire in the lobby and enjoy the quiet of the tranquil inner courtyard. The air conditioned hotel offers a 24 hour front desk service and secure garage parking. Informed staff can provide local tour advice and facilities for business guests include meeting and conference rooms. Hikers and bikers will find plenty of trails in the Jonkershoek nature reserve, just five kilometers form the city center and there are several vineyards worth a visit within 10 kilometers. Cape Town International Airport is approximately 40 kilometers from the hotel. The hotel can organize an airport shuttle service if contacted in advance. The cost of a round trip is R180. Alternatively, taxis are available outside the airport.

From the airport, exit onto the N2 highway in the direction of Somerset West. Take the R310 towards Stellenbosch. Turn right into Dorp Street. After the second set of traffic lights, turn left into Andringa Street where the hotel is situated.
